Iter Europaeum: the walkaway of European churches in Rome. 50 years of relations between the EU and the Holy See

On June 20th, 2021, in the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri in Rome, the Italian Ambassador Pietro Sebastiani welcomed the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See as part of the Iter Europaeum: the walkway of European churches in Rome to celebrate 50 years of relations between the European Union and the Holy See.

On the occasion of the summer solstice, Prof. Costantino Sigismondi pointed out the features of a sundial built at the beginning of the 18th century by Francesco Bianchini at the request of Pope Clement XI.

Dr. Maria Cristina Di Chio, Delegate of the FAI Delegation of Rome, guided the participants on a splendid tour to discover the history and artistic treasures of the Basilica.
