On Wednesday, May 26th, 2021 at 10:30 am, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy to the Holy See, will take place the opening day of the IV Edition of the Master in Management of Organizations and Social Doctrine of the Church promoted by the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. The event will be held in the cloister and garden of Palazzo Borromeo, seat of the Embassy. Exponents of the academic, economical and institutional world will discuss on the theme “Building hope for the future. The role of complex organizations”. “Hope is an essential value for an education inspired by the Church’s social docrtine that should be as concrete as possible, and for an entrepreneurship that is expression of moral courage” Professor Paola Paniccia Coordinator of the Master, says.
The Master – born from the remains of the Postgraduate Course in ” Social Doctrine of the Church for economic and social development” activated in the academic year 2013/2014 – is the unique in the panorama of Italian and European lay universities on the themes of the Social Doctrine of the Church applied to Economics and Management awarding 60 university credits. The aim of the Master is to train professionals able to put themselves at the service of civil society by holding positions of responsibility in the government and management of complex organizations, with particular reference to companies and public administration. The Master offers an interdisciplinary training course that combines technical-specialist knowledge, ethical significance and human values to promote a business culture where reciprocity, gratuity and trust all contribute to generate positive interconnections, economic and social value.
The Master lasts one year and consists of 6 course units including class interaction, seminars, workshops and testimonials. The 400-hour internship at various profit and non-profit companies, public bodies, associations and other voluntary sector organizations, as a concrete opportunity to approach the labor market, completes the training.
The teaching staff of the Master consists of 80 people including professors and researchers from different disciplines of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, teachers from other universities, entrepreneurs, managers and high-profile religious experts.
