17th International Prize for Italian Studies – Italian culture in the world
Within the literature section of the 45th edition of the Flaiano International Awards, the 17th International Prize for Italian Studies – Italian Culture in the World is announced for 2018. Promoted and organized by the Cultural Association Ennio Flaiano and the National Center for Dannunzian Studies in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and with the Italian Cultural Institutes Abroad, the Prize will be awarded to three authors of works on subjects of Italian culture, published abroad and both in Italian and foreign language. The Jury is composed of experts in international culture. The publications indicated by the Directors of the Italian Cultural Institutes Abroad will be taken into consideration.
Modalities for participation
The Directors may propose a maximum of three publications between March 2017 and March 2018 in their country, also after receiving notice from the Directors of the Italian Departments of the local Universities, sending two copies of each work to the Award Secretariat by 13 April 2018 (Piazza Alessandrini, 34 – 65127 Pescara) and sending an extensive presentation form on each proposed work and its author in advance by e-mail (associazione.flaiano@gmail.com). The Jury may consider other publications indicated by its members.
Awards ceremony
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Pescara on Sunday 8 July 2018.
The premium may not be collected by third parties. The absence of the winner at the award ceremony shall be considered as a waiver of the prize.
